Just buy the core albums, Bolan Boogie and Great Hits and the job is done. I have a complete set up to his death and nothing after aside from the Electric Warrior CD anniversary box. The whole landfill of compilations arrived after his death and are best avoided IMHO. There is surprisingly little overlap betwen Bolan Boogie and Great Hits and the main albums. Ride A White Swan, Hot Love, Children Of The Revolution, 20th Century Boy etc etc. The last two are very well worth having as Bolan was such a prolific writer a lot of good stuff, both singles and B sides, never made it onto the proper albums, e.g. Rex (a compilation of Tyrannosaurus Rex material), Ride A White Swan (something very similar on MFP), The Beginning Of Doves (some very early Tyrannosaurus Rex demos released kind of unnofficially on Track Records), Bolan Boogie (Fly period singles and Bs) and Great Hits (EMI period singles and Bs). There were to my knowledge very few compilations done in his lifetime: Flyback T.
